Week 12

I feel totally confident in me and my partner's lesson plan.
We haven't had any problems.
yes we are ready to teach.
I think to improve the class, we need to front the students 1000 bonus points in the beginning of the semester.
yes, teachers must learn how to utilize technology in classrooms in order for the class to prosper academically.

Voice Thread

I think that implementing voice threads into my lesson plan would take away from me as a teacher. i would want the first impression of my class to be based solely on me in person not through my voice or any other voice technologically operated. i think i would incorporate it into my lessons throughout the term, but in my lesson plan i would not incorporate it.

Week 8

Please tell me how your PPT project is going. What topic have you chosen? How do you feel about your partner? Does your partner help you work faster and better than working alone?

The power point project is going quite well. I am learning quite a bit from this assignment experience. There are many things in the power point prgram that I was very much so unaware of.

Thge topic my partner and I chose was " The Influence of Web Based Learning". The topic was picked by the two of us based off of both our experiences with learning through the web and we wanted our peers as well as our instructor to become more enlightened about web learning.

My partner is Cecelia Marshall and I am confident in my partner's ability to work and to think. She thinks of ideas quickly and has an open mind to other points of views.

With the help of my patner, the process of completion speeds up. Work is done by both sides to eliminate slothfulness.

week 7.

Teachers should not go too far, but should go far enough to get the students to relate & feel comfortable with the technology being used to complete classroom activities. I think by doing this, it would be a confidence booster for some students.

This could actually be argued from both points, because they could provide a means of communication from the instructor to the student. There are students that learned better from reading than listening, so it could work great for them. On the other hand, this could also be a huge distraction just the same to all students. Their focus could be decreased by with constant chatter amongst each other through the messages.

Well I would say depending on the student(s). There are students that learn differently than others. Some students do better learning things based on what they read and later shown and others must be told and shown, both at the same time.

It does enhance learning to students as well as instructors. I don’t think it is simple at all. It gets messages across to all people, because it automatically snatches attention when it is presented.

It all depends on what skill that is being taught or learned. Video games, believe it or not, can help develop some things quicker than reality. Reality does not always grasp the attention of its learners, but a video game is made to entertain and a learner must be entertained before he/she is taught.

Personality

I think students have different learning styles based on their personality types as well as other things. I don't think it is based only on their personality traits because if you take two individuals who have similar personality traits, their mental determination would be different. Even students with similar traits have to be taught differently. All natural born leaders can't instruct some one on how to complete a task.

I think the test would give me an idea of what the students could be like or what, according to the test, is said they should be like. I think, as a teacher, you would have to personally experience the students first hand in order to place them in a certain category and not go off a test that, according to trick questions, says the students are a certain way.

spreadsheet

Spread sheet is one of the best ways to stay organized especially if you are an instructor. It is an almost an error free program and is very great for calculating grades and averages. It is a stress free anti-head ache program. All the work is done by just a press of the button. It does not require a lot of thinking because the computer does all the dirty work itself. It can also be used as a budget maintenance and maintaining and managing business.

Assignment #2

Before I began watching the video, I had never heard of "inspiration" in the since it was being used for in the video. I always thought inspiration was a inner motivation. Something imaginative, not visual. I would allow any aspect of aids with students in a class I would be responsible for teaching. Every student is different in the aspect of learning material. Some students learn by teaching themselves visually and other by watching peers of the same age group instruct what is being taught.

Research on every possible topic there is would be best useful to technology in a classroom because there is endless knowledge and so much knowledge to be had. Our job as instructors and students is to try and obtain as much knowledge as we can.
Just as I stated before, some students learn better from other students because their level of intellect is similar and sometimes the explanations from teachers are tooooo much to comprehend.

#1 assignment

What do you think about using blogs?
My thoughts on using blogs are simple. I can understand the relevancy of using blogs. It is a professional way for others to get a better understanding of who you are intellectually.
Some people think using blogs in classrooms is a waste of students’ time. How would you respond?
A classroom is a place of learning and experiencing with educational research as well as with things that will be professionally benefical to college students.
What and how do you think blogs would be useful for education?
Just as I stated before, blogs are ways to determine an individual’s intellectual level as well as maturity level. Knowing how to access and create blogs is a way for an instructor to instruct a class and get almost immediate feedback from students.
